Murmur of Voices

I used a quote from Nathaniel Hawthorne’s short story, “Young Goodman Brown” to create this series of cards. I shot photographs around Salem, MA and used a cyanotype process to transfer the photographs to the paper, creating an aged effect. I letterpressed each cyanotype with a portion of the quote and pronto plated the entire story on the back of each card. The cards can be read in sequence or laid out flat to view the entire piece.

Sexualized Brains

Sexualized Brains, edited by Nicole Karafyllis and Gotlind Ulshofer, is one of three book jackets I designed while interning for the MIT Press. The book discusses contemporary cognitive research findings that suggest greater biological difference between men and women's emotional intelligence than researchers had previously supposed.
